In 2005 he launched his own business consultancy service, ALMAN CONSULTING. Here, he utilised all the skills and experience he had built up over the years, working with several companies to increase productivity and profitability by giving sound business advice, mentoring staff and assisting companies through transitional periods.

Since 2012, Alan has worked with R and D Tax where he has applied his technical knowledge and experience to help SME’s to prepare and submit Research

and Development tax claims and has been so successful in this venture that it is now the only service offered by Alman Consulting.

In 2017 the business has expanded further with a second office being opened in Cheshire, working with accountants and SMEs across the whole of the North-West.
